Love this place. There are wild monkeys in the woods along the board walk. Don't feed or have contact with them. They do Carry diseases. But they are fascinating to watch.
Nice historic interesting place. The glass bottom boat rides are cool. You need to go on the weekends for the extended tours. We loved it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the regular tours leave you thinking what that's it? We did see lots of wildlife including the monkeys.
The old park is gone and this is now owned by the State of Florida. Not very flashy and not much open. But the glass bottom boats are still there and the guides are willing to talk about the park in as much detail as you like. We hiked around. It would be nice if the state would add a few more attractions.
We rented a cabin at the park and had a great stay. The cabin has a wrap around porch and gas fireplace. Immaculately clean and well prepared, each cabin has clean sheets and a full kitchen. The night I arrived there were a number of large deer.
This place beautiful! Tours, shops, wildlife, and the glass bottom boat ride
